Breast Implants Now Having Explant 13 Years Later

Congrats that it is over. The first results can be a little dissapointing but as you know from all the wonderful stories here that things change daily with your breasts as they recover from the explant. It does get better and better and keep reminding yourself of all the reasons you wanted them out in the first place. My implants were huge compared to yours and my breasts have bounced back from that first few days of "what have I done!" look. Many hugs to you and keep us posted on how you are doing, there will be some down moments but the ups will quickly win over :)

I am 51 and just had my explant on Feb 28th. My left implant ruptured, mine was saline so I had a pretty good idea according to my PS of what I would look like post explant. I had mine for 13 years almost to the day. My results are just what the PS said to expect and I am more than happy!! You can look at my pics and see how they turned out. I did not have a lift, if I had needed one there would not have been much to lift. So with a little bit of a padded bra if I want I look just fine with clothes. I have only worn a bra once and that was last night. And it felt fine, my scars were not irritated, but still prefer the softness and feel of the tops with the built in bra type things. And I have to say they don't look half bad either. You will do fine once you have this behind you. It can be scary to think of all the what if's, but once it is over you will be so free!
