Emu oil, tamu tamu oil, rosehip oil, avocado oil all work great. And aloe vera - just keep the scars moist and well massaged. I think the physical act of massage helps more than the oil, so always massage the scars! It's hard to notice the reddness fading day-to-day, but take pictures and you will see a difference in a month. Also remember that when you massage them, they will be very red (so best to do this before bed) as it brings more healing blood to the surface. You might alo consider dermarolling, but make sure you wait a couple of months after having the rejuvi applied so your skin has had plenty of time to heal. The fact that is not as red as it was when the scab first came off is a great sign. Just massage, oil and keep faith! Ooh also you can take silica tablets or eat oysters - they help skin to heal :-)
Hi sorry have just seen your post. It sounds to me like you have an infection - I'd talk to your rejuvi therapist and/or see a doctor immediately. I didn't have any reddness around the rejuvi scabs, nor did I let them get damp at all - I even sat in front of a fan for a couple of minutes after being in humid environments to evaporate any moisture. Please contact someone asap, as it sounds like you need antibiotics fast. Good luck! I'm sending you lots of healing thoughts xx
Good luck with the saline procedure today!!! I hope it all goes well and is the end to your nightmare. Mine healed perfectly. Only a tiny bit of ink remained - however just yesterday got the cosmetic tattoo in the colour and shape I desired. I will go back in two months and she will touch it up and spot apply rejuvi to the ink that remains from the previous job. GOOD LUCK! Keep us posted :-)
Lana I'm glad your rejuvi went well and trust me the reddness fades! All reddness gone from mine in 4 months. Just had the touch up ink done by the same lady that did the rejuvi. Shape is fab and the colour looks much better suited to my skin. I'll upload pics ones it's settled down in two weeks. Jill I feel your pain! It's a terrible place to be and I'm just so thankful to come across this site to find I wasn't alone and there were options for me. xoxo
Hi beautiful, I went to Cosmetic Ink in Narrabeen, just google it for a number. Her studio is now in Curl Curl, but it still comes up under Narrabeen. She is really great! Let me know if you do make it up and want to have a drink with someone who totally understands what your going through x
