Hi. Isn't it great not having anything hanging out??? Don't worry about the ends of the stitches poking out. They will fall off eventually. I didn't use the scar strips. I am using Mederma scar therapy. When I was rubbing it in those stitches just fell off! Now the scar is flat and smooth.
Hey RisK! Just dont get discouraged if you dont feel like you can do much during that first month. I couldnt stand up straight 100% for the first 4 weeks. I never would have thought just two weeks ago that i would be able to run (albeit slow) or lift stuff. Trying to be careful. This is my 7th week and just starting to feel normal. I could hold plank position but havent tried sit ups. Pretty sure that is impossible. Also, call your ps office and ask as many questions as you need to before going in. You shouldnt have to guess. I had to make a few calls too. Good luck with your surgery! I hope you post updates!
Hey Mommy! How are you feeling? Keep an eye on that swelling. If you had to have it drained and it still is swelling, you might need to go back. You shouldnt have new bruises. Just my opinion....
hi thanks! I walked in and was told you couldnt tell i had surgery. Thats good! Although my performance was like i was brand new to the scene. But you are right. Its better to be cautious. I will try a little harder each time. I just kept telling myself how much better i am doing now than just 2 weeks ago!
