Thanks for the tip kate5. I checked both out. Unbelievabra has too much bra for me. Sassybax looks just like the Spanx Slim Cognito tank so I thought I would order it, but it was on back order! (BTW, It would have been about $4.00 more than Spanx with shipping included) Anyway, I have the Spanx item now and really like it especially the removeable underwire feature since I have to keep this thin on 24/7 for a few weeks yet. At this point, for my type of liposuction (back/flank area)I would recommend the Spanx Slim Cognito tank for both comfort and support.
I had ActiveFX on my face 16 days ago. The redness seems to be getting slightly worse around my mouth and eyes now and I'm concerned with hyperpigmentation developing. (I've been COMPLETELY out of the sun) I have some Obagi Clear that I was using for brown spots. Does anyone know if using it now (16 days post-laser) is OK - and if it will prevent the development of hyperpigmentation? Thanks!
Sorry that your doc did that to you! Like the others posted, there are various things you can put on your scars to help make them less visible. It takes awhile and you need to be faithful about applying them. I know this may seem radical, but a really good plastic surgeon can make an old, large scar almost disappear by re-doing them - and he/she should be able to tell you just what to expect post-op - and NOT do it if they weren't able to improve things. They can also recommend the best product to apply. As you probably know already, you always need to be very careful for awhile post-op especially on the abdomen. We heal differently on different parts of our bodies.
Yikes! What a terrible thing to happen to you. I had 2 procedures done a few years ago - 1 needing a plastic surgeon and the other a gyne surgeon. The 2 surgeons had operating room priviledges at the same hospital and cooperated so I was able to arrange it so that only had to be operated on 1 time. It also saved on costs because my insurance paid for all the operating room costs. I would try to find good surgeons who understand what you want to do. A good doctor wants to avoid having their patient operated on multiple times because there is always a risk. No matter what though, get recommendations from friends, co-workers, nurses. I wouldn't even consider being operated on without those recommendations. Good luck!
Thanks for the comments! I just ordered a Spanx Slim Cognito tank. I called Spanx and they told me Slim Cognito is their line of firm control garments. I don't need the compression on my chest, but it seemed like the best one for covering my back area. I'll let you know what I think about it. It should arrive in about a week.
