Dear Knockers,
I have ended up about a DD. I was wearing a DDD bra before, but I know I was much larger than that and was probably about the same size as you. I do not know how much she removed in grams, but she told me that she reremoved over a pound off of each breast. When I went into surgery, I told her not to make me too small, and I was expecting about a D cup. I am a little bit larger than that, but am happy with the results. My hubby says I now have 16 year old boobs. For a 58 year old, I know that is a compliment!
Thank you. I did use Palmer's Vitamin E oil, but not as frequently as I should. I tried the steri strips but found them bothersome. I think my PS did an outstanding job, as my scars were minimal to start with. I was heavily taped for about two months after the surgery and did not have a problem spitting stitches, etc.
Hi Ccad,
From what I was able to find, outpatient breast reduction is the norm, unless the surgery is more invasive. My PS said that if you had a large amount of
breast tissue to be removed, she would put you in the hospital, but otherwise it would be outpatient. I had another opinion from another PS and he said the same thing. I was a little concerned at first, but actually it all worked out fine being outpatient.
Yes, having lots of burning, not just isolated to the top of the breasts. Also, nipples very, very sensitive and sore. I was one month last Thursday. It is getting better, just slow.
Thanks. I still have all of the tape underneath after three weeks. I will say that I am well glued and taped and have had no issues with anything popping. I didn't think I should put anything on the incision that might make the glue come off before it should. Let me know if you get an answer.
