Two wks is still very early. My dr warned me that I would look like I'd "been in a barroom fight". Take bromelain for the swelling (you can get it at a health food store). I assume your dr had you use ice packs for the first couple of days. Minimize salt in your diet will help. Someone else recommended Dermablend to cover the bruises, scars. It's great stuff. I'm two months out, and all I have to do now is use a fine-tipped brush along the line of the scar, which is still red, and blend it out a little bit, to cover it. Dermablend was especially made to cover scars. Good luck - hang in there, I'm sure it will be worth it.
I guess I was lucky that my doctor told me that it would be about month three when things would look really good (I'm at month two now) and a full year before the scars would completely disappear. I have had "bouts of doubts", particularly in the morning when my eyes look more swollen and uneven, but I can see the improvement. I'm using Bio Oil on the scars, and still taking Bromelain to help with swelling. I eat a very healthy vegetarian low salt diet, also.
