Revision vs "something going wrong" is quite different in number and degree of severity. The doctor should be "Board Certified", work in an Accredited Clinic AND have a 'known" nearby hospital with privileges available for complications from the surgery or anesthesia. Additionally, he or she should have LOTS of experience with many different types of patients, but hopefully not too general in scope of procedures so he is more of a specialist in two to three areas than a generalist who can and does do dozens of procedures.
MOST of the comments and reports on this forum are positive--I know because I've counted them. Where one person has had a BAD experience and continued to post I discounted that. Furthermore, where someONE has had a bad experience it was typically only with ONE doctor not every single doctor out there. So, I'd suggest not jumping to the conclusion that there's a horrible thing awaiting you if you decide to move forward. But, just in case you're really worried consider the percentages of patients who have something go wrong: 2 - 4%. You can research this on your own. What you'll find is that it's NOT always the doctor, Anesthetist, nurses or clinic that screwed up. Sometimes it's a young doctor or a lazy doctor. Sometimes it's unrealistic expectations on the part of the patient. Sometimes it's the patient's body doesn't take to the changes, fillers or implants.
