that's crazy that your ortho is going to charge double the price for the acceledent. mine bought a bunch of them last year for $900 a piece, and charged me $950 for it. There's no reason she needs to charge you that much of a mark-up. I know the price went up at the beginning of the year, but geeez. It sounds to me like she's not comfortable offering it, and the steep cost helps to dissuade her patients from buying one. I hope your ortho comes around, I really like mine. My ortho is extremely pleased with my progress, everything is tracking exactly as it should, and pain and tightness is only on the first day or so. Its very motivating to change aligners every 7-8 days.

I'm 4 months in and haven't had any of those problems. I brush them about 4-5 times a day, I keep a tooth brush and paste in my purse, it hasn't been an issue. If they start to get a smell, I soak them in some very diluted Listerine, and brush them afterward, the smell disappears. Just sounds like you need to clean them more... Invisalign definitely isn't something to do if you aren't willing to put in the work to maintain them. Just keep in mind that this is temporary, and its worth it to be diligent, b/c the payoff will be great. No ones noticed that I have them in unless I point them out. Even my mom didn't notice until I told her.

I'm definitely more careful when it comes to removing the bottom tray. one of my canines is starting to close the gap, the pontic isnt there anymore b/c the space is too small, so that's helping to make it feel a little more stable. But I still tilt the tray forward, rather than upward, to remove it, that seems to help. I haven't experienced any looseness, though I haven't tried to wiggle the teeth... I remember when they were extracting the laterals that it took a lot of effort, b/c the roots are pretty sizeable, if that makes you feel any better. I don't think they'd easily come out, even if your tooth is a little loose. never hurts to run it by your ortho
