Hi there- glad you feel better now- it is scary when you feel big and puffy at first, and think you've wasted time, pain and money! I've put a couple of pics up now at 3 week mark. Terrifying to post them, but people's pics helped me SO much I bit the bullet and did it! Hope you put yours up too, as it's great to see people's results. I'm hoping I'll get a bit more improvement over the next few weeks, but my clothes are already LOADS better. Best of luck with your shrinking! Best wishes, J

this doesn't sound normal at all- I would get to a doctor as soon as possible to be on the safe side. Best of luck. J

I don't actually weigh myself, so no idea if I was heavier or not- sorry! But I think the fluid would make you heavier- you are still processing the injected fluid, as well as post-op swelling kicking in. My clothes feel much better, and did fairly soon after the op- my muffin top is SO much better. I've been slightly 'up and down' with swelling, but am starting to feel less puffy. While my measurements aren't so different, I already look noticeably better in clothes- my proportions are loads better. Best of luck. Hope we both get the results we wanted!

Wow- you look so fantastic!! I am one week post-op, but was bigger than you to begin with. So far I'm really pleased with the new flatter shape, but I'm still swollen. It's great to see your 5 weeks pics to see the progression. Fingers crossed I'll get such a good final result.

All the comments on this thread imply there is a lot of pain. I had my abs and love handles done yesterday, and feel totally fine (will post story in reviews in a couple of weeks, as I found them v helpful). After 2 hour procedure in Harley St I caught the Underground home, and stopped off to get some groceries! In the op there was a little discomfort as the fluid was put in, then I think 4 moments when the laser went to the edge of the number area- this did hurt, I admit, but only for maybe 10 seconds. It was like a prodding feeling, but as soon as I said 'ouch' my surgeon put more solution in then continued, constantly asking if I was ok. After I got home, as soon as I felt any aching I took paracetemol. I think I took 6 yesterday altogether (2 at bedtime just in case as I didn't want to wake up in pain!). Today I just took 1, and now it's mid-afternoon. Don't think I need any more from now on. If I bend I can feel a bit of an ache, but no pain at all, just swelling. Right now it's too soon to see results- I'm swollen, but about the same size as when I went in. I can see a difference in shape though. Really looking forward to swelling going so I can see results. Any decision you make has to be balanced. My tummy was ruling my life, and making me feel miserable. One part of me knew that was silly, and we all have good points and bad points, and a few lbs of excess fat really isn't the end of the world. BUT I was constantly hiding my tummy in clothes, and out-of-proportion- my arms, legs and bum are in pretty good shape. I expected some pain, and was willing to put up with that when I balanced it against how miserable my tummy made me. It hurt less that I expected. If you aren't over-bothered by your fat bits, I wouldn't bother. I think procedures should only be used if something is causing you stress, and you have tried healthy-living to correct it. Best of luck whatever you decide.
