True test of patience lol Thursday will be just about 4 weeks post-op here and the chicas are starting to jiggle a bit :) When my nipples were really bothering me i took a sanitary pad and cut the ends off each end and peeled the paper away and stuck the adhesive side to the bra to give some extra padding that seemed to help for a few days when I was super sensitve.
I am a physical therapist assistant and work in a nursing home, so defiantly exposed and colonized. However she said it was not MRSA thank goodness, but along the lines of ( I have to ask her the name again) I also have sensitive skin and keep breaking out from the paper tape.. Thanks for the kind words :)
Same thing happening here the PS said that the increased nipple sensation is a good thing because that means all the nerves are intact and working. She also said that the increased sensation should last for about a month. The lower quadrants of my breast are almost back to full sensation. I've noticed that as the swelling has decreased that sensation is coming back
Well it's been almost 3 weeks since my surgery, still not allowed to return to work and had some complications. I ended up with a bacterial infection in both of my breast causing several wounds at the T junction and around the areolas. The PS said the infection was probably due to the fact that I work in the medical field so being exposed to all the lovely germs and etc that it was something that was most likely dormant in my system. Now I have to do wound care treatment once a day and go back weekly for the PS to check all the incision sites. Fun times!!! On a positive note I feel great no back neck or shoulder pain!! So far no regrets
HI Heights I just had my surgery yesterday morning. It took the medical about 30 minutes to get all my paperwork, vitals, and lines hooked up. I remember the nurse telling me that they were going to be giving something to take the edge of and to help me to relax. That was around 9:45 am and then next thing I know it I hear "Danielle, Danielle time to wake up. I was in shock for about 5 seconds not realizing where I was. Then I looked down and saw that I was bandaged and had my surgical bra on that was around 1:45 pm. I was shocked that I didn't feel them take me to the operating room, and bringing me back to recovery. I had a little bit of a hard time coming out of the anesthesia and my oxygen stats would fall below to the 80's whenever I fell asleep. I hope that helps good luck on your surgery!!!
