Hi I would not worry about it so early. It could be that The skin covering your old hump has a memory- a lot of the time when a hump is removed it can take a wee bit of time to reblanket and this is why he is getting you to tape you nose I would say. so make sure you tape it :)I'm sure the surgeon wouldn't have finished your surgery with a hump on the side. There could be a lot of swelling under the bump causing it to be there, a lot of the time a surgeon will do more work on one side or part. I wouldn't worry too much till you talk to your surgeon :)
I was most definitely fine 3 weeks after my surgery-but I guess everyone recovers differently. I went to a wedding a month after with no problems and most of my swelling had gone down
Being put under I was scared about too, but another thing you can do is ask about the anesthesiologist's qualifications etc as he is an important part of the surgery and this might put your mind at ease :)
I had almost NO pain. I remember a slight (very slight prob due to pain meds) stinging feeling around my nostrils (they had been brought in) on the day of surgery but honestly i was so surprised at how little pain there was- I would class having a headache or something everyday like cutting your finger way more painful. I didnt even take pain meds
goodluck! its very exciting!
