Surgery done 2/25 - Back in for cleaning/restitching 3/18

Maybe too soon? I am supposed to wear only a sports bra now for three more months and no underwires until six months have passed.

I was five weeks on Monday. My left side is almost 100% healed, my right had to be recut/stitched and that is two weeks out. I have absorbable stitches and they were stinging like the dickens, finally took a Vicodin. My scars are all really red right now -- not like infected/swollen, but red, red lines. I still have a couple sore spots...maybe a stitch trying to get out? BUT I did buy a bikini top -- my scars will show some, but I can actually wear a bikini top without wires and hoists and lifts and buttresses! Hee. Even if I only wear it on my own deck, it's worth it. Hope everyone is doing okay!

My PS gave me an info sheet and it said no sex for three weeks.

So, I was cleaned and restitched on the right side (connection and vertical only) on 3/18. It's not too bad, but I haven't seen it yet, I can take the new bandage off Saturday 3/23. I have dissolvable stitches this time with a bunch of gauze and a waterproof bandage over that. The waterproof bandage is clear and it looks like I have some wicked awful dark purple bruising. Not hard, fortunately, but really ugly. Am hoping this is something that will wash off on Saturday when I take the bandage and gauze off, but I suspect not. I had only a local for the repair, which was kind of unreal. So, I will post more when I see it. My left side is almost 100% healed!

I have to go back in Monday to have my right vertical incision and the connection cleaned out and restitched. No fun!
