Hi Bbeautiful2. The lumps will disappear. Mine are very small now. Have you been getting the lymphatic massages? I know that once I begin the them again, they will disappear entirely. As far as the compression garment, because it's only your back which has stretched out, take it to a cleaners have it taken in. My back recently got swollen and the pain was unbearable. I may have lymphatic fluid which I need to have removed. I'm a bit lost as to where to go for that. However, I folded a towel and placed on my lower back for compression. It has helped and once again goes to show it's time for a smaller garment. I have only found ones with zippers and the material seems questionable. I would like to have my garment taken in but I ruined part of it with the blow drier trying to dry it. Please let me know how it goes.
Wow...This surgery is a lot more than expected although we know a few months from now we will forget the pain, depresssion, desperation we are suffering now. As far as the Va Jay Jay, yours is swollen. It hasn't grown just begin putting pads once you're swelling goes down to keep it in its place. I'm sorry about your fever. I hope you get better soon. My back was extremely swollen and numb. The swelling has gone down but not entirely and the bruising is still there. Feel better.
The day after the surgery, the dr. came in and told me that I needed to keep my Va Jay Jay restricted inside the garment with the use of a sanitary pad. She stated that it can grow in length down to the middle of my thighs if not held in properly. The nurse at the recovery house confirmed it. You might want to take that into consideration. The swelling goes down and the bruising disappears little by little, day by day. I'm going into my week 3 and still have not changed my garment to a smaller one. I know I should do that by the end of this week but it's like starting all over again with the discomfort, difficulty sleeping, palpitations, etc. We will be okay. Just can't wait til these 3 months are over.
I'm sorry to hear that. I pray you get better soon. I have incredible hardness around my front torso area. It's so painful it's not allowing me to stand up straight. The doctor said that the massages will smooth out the hardness and everything will look normal again because at this time it isn't. I go back to work tomorrow and am dreading the whole thing. Hopefully, you will be able to get the rest you need for your recovery.
