Hello Farz,
After surgery there are limitations with arm movement. The first is Over Head movement. The second is bending over to pick things off the floor as you normally would. There are several reasons for it: When the surgery is complete you have many internal stitches but don't worry they are strong and you wont break them. The next issue is the widening of the incision line from excessive pulling of the skin. This is minimized by the surgical tape that is placed on your incision line for about one month; these bandages will be changed by your surgeon or you once you've been educated on how to do it.
I was not sleeping on my back at all which is understandable given the fact I have a BBL also. The biggest irritation during the recovery period has been ITCHING (but that's a good thing!)
Your arm movement is not impaired and your body will let you know what you can and cant do, fast! In terms of time off 2 weeks is enough given that you are resting during your recovery period.
I am currently under scare management with a sheet from 3M provided by my surgeon and I will post a pic of the box as well.
The back lift in conjunction with my BBL was a great decision that had outstanding results, I feel and look alot more balanced. I will post pics of my back today!
PS please please please ensure your surgeon is both a BOARD CERTIFIED PLASTIC SURGEON and Cosmetic Surgeon if he/she is not both they CAN NOT do your back lift!
Take care
Like NY Cutie said everyone is different and doing research is important. And looking at what everyone else is doing could make you think you've been cheated. Like myself, you are very early in the healing stage. Be gentle with yourself during this time, it's important.
Hello. Before I start I am almost 3 months post op. I had a little more than 800 each side which includes giving me some hips. At this point I am completely satisfied and I feel so much more balanced out. I will update pics and progress as time goes on. Happy recovery!
Hello and thank you for looking at my story! I am currently 2 and half months post op on my BBL and Back Lift. I decided to get a back lift because I became aware that lipo of the back could add to my problem area if loose skin was truly the issue. I didnt want to have a nice looking butt and a worsening back. The back lift is a very straight forward procedure. I had drains for two days, my back was very tight during the healing process and there was no overhead work for me.. Swelling is there, but the results are instant! Remember the skin on the back is the thickest and most dense. Recovery is straight forward and I experienced no real pain or severe discomfort. The incision line is extremely thin and is placed within the bra line. My bandages were completly off after 3 to 4 weeks. Yes you can shower but not soak the badages! No you can not be awake for the surgery and I honestly can say I dont think you want to be awake as they laser or cut your skin off and show layers of flesh back together...You skin is held together by internal staples which dissolve over time and the outside has skin glue. I promise you if you decide to get a back lift you wont regret it. As an informational aid please look up back lift surgery online and watch the procedure being explained and performed. I will also post pics soon. Thanks for asking me and if there are other questions feel free to hit me up!
