I had my neck, face and lower eyes done one month ago today (Jan 27, 2013). It was a journey. My eyes were black and I was very swollen, numb and sore. The swelling and numbness are taking time to go away...The doctor told me it could take 3 months for all swelling to go completely away. Yesterday I put makeup on for the first time (other than to cover the bruising under my eyes) and was told by friends how great I looked. The bags under my eyes..gone. Jowls gone and turkey neck gone. Will it remain this way? Only time will tell. I did read reviews that all of the sagging returned...I certainly hope not. I think the thing that bothered me most is that you are taken to a back room in an office building, laid down on a chair resembling a dentist chair fully dressed and then numbed up and cut open. This is NOT a steril enviroment...it is NOT and operating room. It kind of made me feel like a back room illegal chop shop. My clothes were full of blood which made me feel worse. I did check up on the doctor that performed the procedure and he is a licensed Plastic Surgeon. Did he do a good job. For the most part yes. I am a bit unhappy with the surgery he did with my left eye. The cut was much longer and therefore the scar longer and it pulls more. BUT my eyes do look wonderful without the bags. I have been told I look wonderful. I look at myself and I like what I see. This whole procedure is NOT for the faint of heart and I strongly suggest that you check out the doctor PRIOR to letting him or her cut your face open. MAKE SURE they are board certified plastic surgeons and have practices of their own. I will come back here after a few more months and let you know how I feel and look. Let's hope I look even better than I do now.
I go for my procedure tomorrow. I am excited and a bit scared but looking at your photos it makes me feel a bit better...even though I am in Connecticut.
