Hi Amazing Grace - I am in South Carolina - can you email me the dr. at the Mayo Clinic. I'm having a horrible time here. It started probably 14 to 15 months out when I noticed the fat loss. Now at 2O months out I am still seeing changes - wrinkles on cheeks from eye to mouth and fat loss in cheeks. Also what have you done to aleviate the situation and what mayo clinic did you go to and how did she evaluate you. I have been to a few doctors here and even called a few others and no doctor wants to be involved or admit that it was ipl damage. Mine was a Palomar machine and I am stilll trying to get info from the person which machine and if it has radio frequency. In the mean time because of this my marriage is on the rocks and I have absolutely no support. Everyone think's that I'm being vain or it's in my head or I have BDD - they even sent my to the psych ward and now I'm on lots of meds but still not helping - I need this fixed.

What machine was used on you and what settings? I had Palomar and I am having wrinkling all up and down my cheeks and no sweating there and no sebaeious action. My lady is very rude to me and won't tell me which palomar machine and what the settings mean. My husband thinks that I'm imagining the changes and has sent me to a mental institute for 5 days. This is the hardest thing I have been thru. I am seeing changes to my face daily. I was treated four times two IPL for nose and cheek area and two photofacial for full face - is what she sent to my derm and it says palomar machine handpiece G settings 4, 5, and 6. It was 1.5 years and I am now seeing the changes. Any help on how to get the skin to inflate or rehydrate and start working would be fantastic. I have seen two derms and three ps and they all deny that ipl did this.
Have you had any success with anything to correct the lines on the cheeks. I am getting them now - almost daily - 1.5 years out - palomar machine.
I was thinking about the hyperbaric chamber ? - is it costly?
DanielleB - what IPL machine was used on you. I had IPL 1.5 years ago and my skin looks the same in the photos - lots of damage and wrinkles along cheeks - changing overnight. No sweating and no moisture to cheeks.
