Hello again, I fully understand the problem. But regarding the volume there is a solution for that, for sure! I fixed the volume in my eye. The skin graft is nessecary for you. It IS very possible to have it fixed with the right surgeon though.
Have you contacted Dr Hoenig in Beverly Hills? He is incredbly talented. Please don't give up. It is so depressing, I know, but there is a solution. Yes, the behavious of your Doc was inexcusable! He left the room for a phone call during your consultation? He did not show up for the pre-op appt? My God! That was a very big sign! I know it does not help to hear this now, but that was your instinct screaming: RUN! My doc kept looking at his watch the whole consultation and was very cold to me. I actually did not like him , we did not "click" and that was my "sign" but he was pushy and I knew he was good although my inner voice said: NOT THIS DOC! I was right. Intution is ALWAYS right. This is such an expensive and painful lesson. Now I am very careful when my instinct tells me something. I have learned the hard way. Please take your time to find the right surgeon to help you this time around. There are incredibly gifted people out there doing wonderful revision work and actully care about their patients. Warmly, Goldilock.
Oh my God!
This is horrible! The doctor ignoring the mistake is so very painful. Mine did the same. He said that I was a perfectionist and he thought the eyes where now " brighter and fresh" as he put it. I dont look like myself AT ALL! I never had a problem where I could not close the eye though, But it is just about enough skin for that.My left eye is so different from the right.
Yes, you might absolutely need a skin graft because you can not live with saran wrap for the rest of your life while you sleep!!! I hope you find the help you need. I know how you feel, its so very sad. If you need a name to a very good eyelid expert in California please post your email adress and I can send you some information. You need an EXPERT in revision eyelid surgey. Blessings, Goldilock
to not enough skin:
I am saddened to hear about the visit with Dr M and what happened to your eye. I was very interested in this procedure you had, fat strips placed deep into the orbital area to fill out the hollowness. Like I wrote to Vickiesue, post an email adress and I can provide you with my excellent surgeon whom helped me with my hollowness with juvederm injections. I really most of all want the skin back because even with a filler I struggle with "loving" my eyes. I know that is because the skin created a beautiful fold that framed the eye and the face, now when it is gone it looks so strange, but much better still with the filler. Good luck! Goldilock
to vickieue:
I feel such compassion for wwhat has happened to your eyes.
I know the feeling of looking in the mirror and having that stranger look back at you. I find it to be a daily struggle to face the world. As you describe it, there is a loss of connection to one self.
My Juvederm in the eyelids is looking really good and I know if you go to a very skilled surgeon with A LOT of experience in fillers in this delicate area you will have a good out come. My eyes are so much better now but it is the emotional health I am worried about. I now realise that the skin on my upper lids will never come back and that my whole face has changes ( for the worse) because if it. I simply have to learn to accept this. Don't really know how though. Therapy has not worked at all. If you would like my surgeons name please post your email here and I will give you all the information you need. The filler has NOT lumped. Looks real good. Very natural. BUT it all depends on the surgeon. I highly recommend mine. There is hope. Feel better. Warmly Goldilock.
Hi, I know how you feel. Not a day goes by for me either where I don't regret this more than anything in my life. I am so unhappy about it words can not describe it. I have spoken to many doctors now, there seems to be no solution to this problem. I had very pretty eyes before, can not understand what this doctor was thinking when he cut out all the skin and fat and left me looking like I now do.
If I do find a solution in the future I will post it here. I am so sorry you have to go thought this as well. My main problem was also the lower lids... they are fine now... but the uppers are totally botched. If you find out that something can be done, please post it here, unfortunatly we are not alone with these horror stories. Feel better... Aloha..
