Sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you. I just now saw your post. It was paid for under insurance as it was a medical necessity. Sinus and deviated septum health issues. Out of pocket was under $400. I did see the bill and my doc billed them $5000 so that sounds about right.
I had my surgery Dec 7th and my nose is still a tad swollen ( you can't tell though). It's going to take a few months to get the final effect, but what you are seeing now is exactly on schedule. Don't worry and let mother nature take it's course. :-)
Wow, I'm amazed at the lack of swelling and black and blue eyes. Your doc did a great job! I had sutures under my nose too, and at day 16 you can't even tell I had stitches there. I don't think I could do the twilight deal though. You are braver than I am!
