Once again, I am not on Dr. Swanson's payroll. Moreover, I did not suggest that she see another surgeon because I am not a medical professional nor do I claim to have the knowledge and expertise to give anyone medical advice. I am merely a patient that is trying to share my perspective and my personal experience. And I am not judging this woman, however, I did suggest that perhaps her dissatisfaction may be more than skin deep--and that WAS my professional opinion. Ironically, I happen to be a social worker. Moreover, while I do not have any medical expertise, I do happen to know a thing or two about human psychology. More importantly, in offering my input I was operating under the belief that I was in a unique position, both as a patient and as a social worker, to present her with other, non-surgcial/medical, options by suggesting that she might wish to consider alternatives that could help her to empower herself and improve her self-esteem and self-efficacy.

It's really disappointing that you think that I work for Dr. Swanson and that I have an ulterior motive. Just look at the pictures I have posted and my comments--I am a patient just like you. I have nothing to gain by sharing my perspective. After all, is that the point of this website?

I am sorry that your experience was less than ideal. In my view, there has been quite a bit of improvement. Notwithstanding, I definitely believe that you should try to have a more realistic expectation for surgery. Also, while I do see the indentation that you speak of, I believe that it is no nearly as bad as you think. Try not to be so hard on yourself! :-/ If you're really unhappy, even after a touch up, perhaps surgery is not the right answer? I believe that you look great and maybe you just need to start believing that too! I am a former patient of Dr. Swanson, and what you have explained seems very out of character for both Dr. Swanson and his staff. In my experience, everyone at the Swanson Center is very professional and Dr. Swanson seems genuinely concerned about his patients. I imagine that Dr. Swanson and his staff probably feel that they have helped you as much as can be reasonably expected from surgery. Have you tried palates? Yoga? I bet that might help add some additional firmness and tone. Finally, keep in mind that cosmetic surgery is only skin deep. If you're not happy with your body or yourself or both, no amount of cosmetic surgery is going to change that. Love yourself inside and out, and recognize that cosmetic surgery is meant only to enhance what you already have, not to transform you into someone else. Hang in there, girl friend! All is not lost! :)

Have you been able to shower yet? And do you still have drains? My drains came out on post op day 4. Also, I did not have liposuction.

Today is my 5th Post Op Day and I am also more swollen then I was before. I have also developed some bruising. The doctor said everything looks fine. And the nurse told me that I do not have to wear the binder too tight... whatever is comfortable.
