Sorry forgot he told me to go to M&S and buy shaper knickers a size bigger than my size. He was very helpful and explained from start to finish, also showed me picks of women with my type skin ( black)& shape. Am having my op in Birmingham UK.
hi cyndi, he said no binder because that was the old way & sometimes they do more damage to your skin & that they are not very uncomfortable. The drains he said are the same & sometimes could cause infection & are painfu.l
Yes mine is 30th jan, god willing i've had my op cancelled 3 times due to low white bloods, chest infection. The last cancellation was due to no beds. I actually went to the ward only to be turned away, someone had forgot to call me!!!!!!!!!!!!. Am all prepared : cooked batches of food to freeze, cleaned house, packed bag again, sorted basket for bedside for when I came home.( water,cough sweets,pen & paper, phone book, grip reacher, remotes, baby wipes, tissues, strong pain killers, mirror, lipstick & low salt snacks) .I'm having a MR/TT/HR. At the same time am also having bladder repair. What's that saying, "NO PAIN NO GAIN" Am have my op in Birmingham UK. Am soooooo looking forward to my op. Best wishes for your up coming op.
my surgeon uses no drains & no binders, he explained why an it sounded good to me. Had my MR,TT,HR cancelled 3 times due to drop in white blood cell. NOW I've got a "%$%*"" chest infection. My mind is in such a positive place, just need body to hurry & catch up.
WOOOOOOOOOOOW you look fab, am from the uk & hope my surgeon does a excellent job like urs. You go girl, its all about self worth & happiness. I've waited 19 yrs for mine. Had my op cancelled 3 times due to low white bloods & Lupus probs. Hopefully having it done 30th Jan.Wish me luck. Can't wait to get my MOJO back big time. Blessings.
