If you don't mind me asking. Is your reduction covered by Tricare? My husband is military and my first consultation is in 2 weeks. I'm not sure what Tricare requires for approval. I called them but didn't get a straight answer. Thanks!

Hi, I'm new to this site. I'm 33 yrs old and a 36L and 230 lbs. I've wanted a breast reduction for some time now. I've always have had large breast. I get numbness in both arms, neck pain, headaches, shoulder grooves, rashes, nerve pain shooting to my hands, & arthritis in my neck. I have a Dr.s appt to discuss a referral to a plastic surgeon. I'm nervous because I'm afraid he won't write the referral because of my weight. I have lost 50 pounds since having my son and breast still same size. I have a tricare and previous Dr wouldn't write referral because of my weight. I'm just at the end of my rope with the pain. I. think I'm a good candidate for insurance approval. Lets hope my PCM thinks so. Has anyone had problems getting approved because of weight? Especially with Tricare?
