I work at a day program for adults with special needs. It's a small company with mostly female employees and a few men. I told a few of the ladies about it and found out the one lady had a breast reduction by the same doctor I went to. I always wore big tops and a bra that was too small so a few of the ladies wondered why I needed one. One lady thought it was just cosmetic. I explained to her that it is not cosmetic when it involves back and neck pain and that my insurance was paying for it. I just told the parent of one of the clients that I was having some same day surgery to take care of some back problems I and would be back to work in a few weeks. I never said anything to the men but I'm sure they heard through the grape vine. I had several sick days accummulated so they were okay with the two and a half weeks I was off.
Rh,
I had my surgery the day you did and I am having the same issue. The tape came off last week and everything started to heal really well but then there was a spot under the one breast that started to split a little. then today there was this little hole and seeping on one of the areolas. I was looking on here to see if that is normal. I go back to the PS on the 11th for a check up. It doesn't seem infected yet so I put some of that ointment on it.
I'm not having trouble sleeping since I'm out of the recliner. That made it hard to sleep. I was having very vividly dreams when I was on the Vicodin, too. I'm glad I don't need that anymore. The tape is coming off next Tuesday. I measured myself today and I was 37 around. I used to be 40 in. I guess that's a C cup. I wanted to be a B but I'm. still very happy. It feels really weird to have them up so high...and not to flop down when I take my bra off. One is definitely bigger. Now it's the right. It used to be the left. He said at the consult that that might happen. I'm sure it won't be noticeable. I'm hoping it's partly due to swelling. Boy I'm glad I don't have to go to work tomorrow because it's snowing here in PA. :)
I am 5 days post op and got my drains out today. When the nurse took out the left one, it caused a severe shooting pain in that breast. I started crying and felt like an idiot when the doctor came in. I could not feel her take out the other one at all. The Dr said it was because there was still fluid in there. I don't know. I felt a stabbing pain in the left breast a couple of other times when I was trying to stand up. Other than that, I'm doing very well. Not much pain at all. I had a lousy weekend but not because of the BR. My husband, daughter and I all had the flu. Now my youngest daughter has it, poor kid. I hope none of you guys get it.Not fun especially when recovering tron surgery
