Hi Never To Late. I hope you liked Dr. T. because I think he's the best. As you know, I had my TT and BL procedure with him on 2/20 and I'm feeling great. Obviously you have less excess skin than I did since I had 120 lbs weight loss, but I also have been doing P90-X for 18 months, yet still opted for muscle repair and have had no issues. I think I would leave it to Dr. T's judgment if you ultimately go with him as your physician. He'll give you an honest assessment.
Good luck and I look forward to hearing how it all works out for you.
My appointment is at 11:15 at his Rockville office, so I'll probably will be gone by the time you arrive. Dr. T. just called me a few minutes ago to see how I'm doing and I told him that all is good. I really appreciate his attentiveness and think you will be pleased if you select him as your surgeon. He talks fast, but is very thorough and won't rush or pressure you into anything you're not ready for.
Day 4 post-op and I'm feeling better everyday. Have decreased pain meds because not feeling much pain--just a little discomfort. Still wearing binder and breast are all wrapped up so there's really nothing to show. I have the one drain and it looks good. Dr. T says will take it out next week when I see him on Thursday. I always had an adjustable bed, so that has been helpful for getting in and out of bed. Also had a large chair put in my bedroom with a leg rest which makes it nice to get out if the bed for a while. After day one I had a little phlegm in my throat which hurts to cough up, so make sure to blow in sphincter thing doctor gives you to prevent pneumonia. Got it under control, which is good. Something you should definitely get is a raised toilet seat so you don't have to bend down so far and use your stomach muscles to get up. Also, get one of those grabber items to pick things up off the floor. It helps a lot. Overall I'm feeling great and have no regrets.
Dear Duchess1986,
Didn't Dr. Lily give you a script for those test? My plastic surgeon gave me scripts, which I took to my primary doctor and she did the lab work and EKG. When results came back she faxed the information to my plastic surgeon. If you don't have scripts from Dr. Yily, maybe you should make an appointment with your primary doctor and tell him or her that you need their help in getting these pre-op test. Good luck.
