Lol yeah I woke up but not during the surgery .. Just when they were putting my bra on .. And they use different types of anesthesia I think it depending on what you get. So if you're getting lipo or anything that takes long you'll probably be knocked out the whole time.. I only got my breasts done.. And I'll be posting pics after my new boobies are recovered
It was good just a little scary because I woke up when they were finishing up so I was scared but the nurse said it was normal. The first two days after surgery are the worst after that you start getting the hang of it.
I've heard stories too but it's never happened to me in the 20 years that I've been traveling over there.. I would suggest that you just don't bring anything expensive like jewelry and name brand things just in case. Just try to look as normal as possible and don't look like a tourist because they do tend to sell tourists things more expensive. Also I would suggest bringing someone just because I never thought I would be the type to get depressed after surgery but I kind of did and that was with my family there. I can just imagine without anyone. The days at the clinic drag and it sucks when you're in pain and you have no one to talk to.
What ive noticed is that A lot of people in the D.R don't really know about the female doctors over there .. But I was looking into having my surgery with Dr. Robles as well and she seems like she knows what she's doing and has a lot of precautions which is what's important when looking for a doctor.
