The boots no 7 cream can get rid of wrinkles apparently. YOu need to give it time. Also bought a facial exercises DVD and some great ideas on it including stretching out the lines using a special exercise, great idea. The nasolabial fold became less pronounced for me and probably will for other people because of the extra volume in my face being closer to when i was younger and also because when I smile (more often these days thanks to not linking my self acceptance to how I look :P aka http://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/evolution-the-self/200809/the-path-unconditional-self-acceptance), I guess the contours might be more suited to non-development of the line.
Sorry about the late reply guys, I do not seem to be getting notifications on some of these comments. Well it goes against my policy on forums in general but as I have had many requests for this info. The name of the cream is Protect and Perfect No 7 Anti Aging serum. There is a version for men and women. It is quite famous by now. The cream actually affects the structure of the skin. I think the study showed it worked in a certain percent of cases 60% or something? Dont give up hope though. There will be other things plus there is a good chance it will be higher than that and people need to eat better in order for your body to build quicker. You have to use it for a good couple of months. The older you are the more proteins (collagen/elastin etc) you will have lost (through sun exposure/diet etc) as a general rule. It should work for older older people but be aware the collagen produced by the body changes as we get older but the collagen it should still do its job . Protein involved in boots cream is Fibrillin-1 I think. Probably cheaper creams out there because you cannot patent a naturally occurring substance.
ALso relating to the facial exercises, you can get a massively more youthful appearance with them but also its a good tool if you are trying to change to get good looks too. It is one thing trying to look young, it is another to look good. You need to get the ratio right between different aspects of your face. This ratio is 1.618. Facial exercises are an excellent tool for this. It also is important for an attractive body ((feet to belly button)) / ((belly button to top of head)).
Thank you for this valuable information fitand50 and I very happy to have stumbled on such a great community! Best wishes for Christmas to you all too.
Hi Secrets, You are welcome and also thank you for the advice about the sleek cheeks. I often wondered that electrical stimulation of muscles might be a better way to exercise the muscles of your face because as is pretty obvious, you are not moving your face and therefore accelerating the development of lines. It seems really peculiar though that actually a lot of the people who appear to have been successful with the apparently difficult art of facial exercises seem to be wrinkle less. I guess keeping high levels of elastin might be important but these people seem wrinkle free! I guess their extra volume buffers the wrinkles out. I also read, crazy as it sounds, that you can stimulate muscles growth to about 50% of the same level if you imagine you are doing the exercises. It has been shown that this works for body muscles so I assume it would work for facial muscles. As for me, I have opted for a facial program that I felt seemed to be a good one, as I think I would prefer to leave it to the experts in this area.
i wanted to just make a comment because some of you are concerned about wrinkles. Please read this and there is an excellent chance you can get rid of wrinkles. This is what I believe to be the case with the formation of wrinkles. The skin is comprised (in the most part) of collagen and elastin. Apparently, this is what gives the skin most of its bulk (along with water). Diet (particularly sugar) and sunlight (UV radiation) destroy this tissue (along with affecting the DNA which is what can cause cancer). Therefore the more food you eat and the more sunlight you are exposed to, the more connective tissue (collagen and elastin) is depleted. I believe collagen reflects light and is partly what gives us the youthful look. Elastin gives the skin its elasticity and I believe this is what gives the skin its resilience to wrinkles (I keep saying apparently as I am not a doctor or biologist, I trained first as a mathematician and then as a medical statistician). When the elastin is gone and the contours of the face change, regular movement and time conspire together to create folds such as the nasolabial fold and the finer wrinkles that we see. The good news is, there are billions of humans and we are very very smart. We are also able to communicate and work together! The task is simply to first (STEP 1) rebuild the structure of the face, which is a lot easier thanks you generous people like honeybee. This will fill out some of the wrinkles. I think I should mention that although I think, if honeybees experience is the same for all people, that facial exercises seem, in my opinion, to be worth doing on balance although I think if you hvae low levels of elastin, this will acclerate wrinkles in the long run unless you follow on to the next step (although it will also have the effect of filling out wrinkles so this acceleration may not become apparent).
Step 2, you need to start rebuilding the collagen and elastin in your skin. (This is true for all areas of the body). You can do this through diet I believe. There are also a number of creams which stimulate the production of collagen and elastin. I did use a product from a very famous chain in the country I am from. The active ingredient (i.e. the substance which stimulates the production) is called fibrillin-1 and is not under patent (I think you can not patent naturally occurring substances). But there you have it, that cream worked for me. You have to use it for a month to a few months depending on your level of depletion. It worked for me, it might not work for everyone as they did a study and it only worked for some. But there will be likely other things that will stimuate the production. I am not mentioning the name of the company as I do not wish to come across like I am selling something. I wanted to share this information because I care aboue people and I know what suffering the aging process can bring. I would also recommend learning to be happy, accepting yourself but stilll continue working on your appearance, as the bible says salvation lies within!
