I actually had my mini-face-lift almost 4 weeks ago. I followed your advice and am glad I did. I would add that if you are getting it done out of town, to take button-down shirts with you in addition to the pajama tops. Like you, the pain was worse than I thought it would be. I had read a letter on my doc's website from a patient that said it was mostly a feeling of "tightness". I'm a severe bruiser and sweller so I'm sure that made the pain a lot worse. At first, I felt kind of bad taking the pain meds but I thought of your posting and took the meds as needed and am glad I did! I'm still not going out much. Hopefully, by week 5 I will be able to get out more. I love!!! my doc and his staff. I will post my own results later, once I look more like myself.
Could it be from swelling? I was worried about areas on my face that have since shown improvement. I am 3 weeks out today. If the areas are showing improvement, try not to worry (I know, easier said than done)too much for now. Take pics so you can see the progress or lack of. Around the point where you are, I had some difficult moments. I had a great doctor who kept reassuring me and I am looking better and better.
I read one woman's review and I believe it took her 5 months to get where she was truly pleased with results. I know when I had upper and lower blephs, it took me 3 months for all of the swelling to go away. However, I have problems with increased swelling and bruising anyway.
