I'm not willing to go overseas to go under the knife, but if that's what suits you then go for it. Who wouldn't be tempted by the unbeatable prices? People are lured by low prices and not by the doctors credentials. One should be concerned about the quality of care they will received. Also, where would they resort for help if there's a problem. Choosing one questionable can lead to tragic consequences. Follow your instinct.

I'm happy the surgery is over with for you, but the healing process has just begun. Any way, my experience with the "infamous" drainer was not as bad as I expected it to be. You see, I follow every instructions from my doctor to the T. From what I can remember, two drains ( I used to call them my titties) were put in place to help reduce the fluid that accumulates around the incision and abdomen. They weren't pretty at all, but they do serve an important purpose. When I coughed and sneezed I felt as if my stomach was going to burst. My hands were my helping tools to alleviate the pressure. The trick with the drains is to learn how to function while wearing them. My drains were removed within ten days. I was able to handle the drains easily but they can be inconvenience at times. I had them pinned to my clothing to hold them in place. I disguised them with sweatshirts or loose clothing when going for a mini walk. In addition, I was required to empty the drains every hour by removing the packets of fluid and measure the amount of fluid collected from each drains on a chart which was provided by my surgeon. Once the drainage has stopped, your surgeon will remove the drains and then the healing process will speed along. I hope this helps! :)

You'll get over the anxiety. Good luck!
