rented the car at the airport in Tijuana. I personally would rent in San Diego and drive across as it would save you from paying an additional $250 in Mex insurance. Safety was not a concern. People are nice and we ventured out even at night. Seriously, they do not bother you! Airport is 5 mins north from Campos office. His offices are right near the border. You could stay either there or Chula Vista and be within 5 to 10 mins getting to his office. The delay is crossing back over into the US, due to the checks through customs. Overall, I would stay on either side due to me knowing both cities and the surrounding areas.

Sounds like my ex (a carribean guy) not trying to offend anyone but I dealt with him trying to emotionally control me for years, thus the reason I say that. Lol. My now bf can't take my cautiousness.
