Kat - thanks for the good wishes. To clarify, though, I didn't have "weird folds." If you sew, it would be like catching fabric when stitching a seam - so there was a "loop" of extra skin sticking out beyond the incision itself that would not have smoothed out. The surgeon had to re-open the incision, cut off the extra skin, and then re-suture it closed. Now that I've had these revisions, I'm confident the scars will be consistent with what I could reasonably expect. I hope things go as well with repairs to my navel! And I hope the feeling in my thigh comes back.

I HAVE had the horrible experiences Charlene is outraged about, which you'd know if you looked at the photos I posted. Facts are not slander; they are proof. Charlene is what is known as an advocate, and I appreciate her outrage on the behalf of me and other victims. If a nice-looking, all-American guy lives across the street from you and you talk to him while he's out watering his yard and you're walking the dog, and he invites you and your husband (whatever) over for a cook-out, and his friends are lovely, and then you find out if he's a serial killer like Jeffrey Daumer, would you say, "But he was always nice to me. What's the problem?"
