I had my upper eyelids done on 7 Nov, as well as a mini facelift. I am very pleased with the facelift but not so much with eyelids. Thank goodness I can shut my eyes but it all feels so tight and is dragging my brow down. The one lid was more painfull and swollen than the other one from day one and this one, five weeks on, is still more swollen and looks hooded. I keep raising my eyebrows up to try and lift it all. Worse still, which no-one else has mentioned, there are a sort of pronounced tendons in the corners of my eyes which is being stretched because of the tightness. As the scars heal and contract, I am afraid these tendons will become even more pronounced. I think the surgeon must have started too far into the corner. I've been back to see him because of all the discomfort and asked him about the tendons. He called it webbing and said it would disappear of its own accord but because it is all being pulled I don't see that it can. Has anyone else had this? No-one says how well I look, which was the whole point of the surgery, but instead they say I look tired. Has anyone else had one hooded eye and/or raised tendons in the corner of their eyes please?
