This site become a little off-putting when I learned that Drs, and likely their staff, and for sure their attorneys are monitoring these sites. You know for sure when they threaten you for submitting. Sounds like they are answering questions too.
I have before picks my husband and I took, but I wouldn't dare put them online at my age. But honestly, my waist is no different now than before. I think the Dr. wanted to do abs because it gives results you clearly see. From what I have learned, if you are doing waist, you should have the back area done as well, which he would charge another 1,800 to do which is his typical price under a local. My sides (waist), look like yours in that I have that little pop-out on each side which I wanted to be gone, like you said, I wanted that hour glass shape back--after 3 kids in the last 28 years I don't expect to look like a model anymore, but I would have appreciated for over 7,000 dollars to at least have a shape, which I don't. Some dr.s try to push for a tummy tuck, but if you have good skin elasticity and not alot of hanging belly fat which I didn't at 53, I saw no need to even do my abs because they are an easy fix with weights and ab workouts. You are really young, so if you exercise and watch the calories, you should maintain things well. If you trust your Dr. you should consider a revision, but I would see if he would do it without cost--maybe the charge is only for putting you to sleep, and not his work. I wish I was more informed from people who had done this sort of thing first, before I spent so much under a local freezing for something that I don't like.
Seems like some of us all need revisions, which they tell you up front, but I still think for the money we paid we should have better results. I was told they took 1 gallon of fat, but I seriously doubt that. What they measure is in containers filled more than 3/4 full of the fluid they put in, with the 1" of liquid fat sitting on top. When they boasted about how much they took, I immediately told him I saw all the containers and they only had one inch of fat sitting on top--must have thought I was stupid and didn't pay any attention to what they were doing--I made sure I did. I would like to know how many of you had the procedure while totally asleep? Under the local I had they only numb you with the lidocaine and a shot of demerol, but I felt everything and it was dreadful. I'm also wondering how many of you had your waist, abs, back/under bra area done at the same time, sounds like a few did. I was told you can only do a couple of areas at one time, so mine would only do my waist, hips and upr/lwr abs, of which there is NO change except the abs which I didn't even want. I had a little excess from 3 kids, and I am over 50, but it was nothing. He didn't do my hips, and my waist is still ponchy at the side, no hourglass shape for me, as others have said as well. I can't do any more without a general, but I've been told all deaths occur under general, and sometimes even brain damage, that is what scared me off doing it that way with someone else, but now I am wishing I had done it the other way. How do you all feel about the process you had?
I am still working on a comprehensive letter to the Dr. and see what occurs. They make you sign an arbitration agreement, just before going into surgery it was dropped into my lap to sign but they never gave me a copy--I've now requested them to give me one, again, 3 months post op. I still have no waist, hips were not touched, I assumed if you put your hands on your hips, that is considered hip, not butt, but they say something else. You are lucky you got your back area done. I don't know what I'm going to do, it was so much money that could have been used to get a better result. What can I do now though, not much, they have my money and they don't guarantee results, so they are safe. It sucks.
Hi. I did voice my displeasure, which is when he said there was a misunderstanding about my hips/waist apparently, and said he will make it "right", but who wants to go through that again? I was awake for the procedure, and it was done under a local, (like the dentist's numbing when you get a filling). I felt like I was in a meat grinder as they pushed the cannula through me to distribute the lidocaine. Dr. was not even present in the room, and I paid this hefty fee because I was under impression HE was doing it, as his staff sufficiently told me numerous times, and that he was "The Best" in the Valley. What areas did you do, and how were they done--were you sedated under a general, or awake like me? Did you get any results the way you wanted?
