Exactly what I was told. It gets annoying n bothersome to wear the CG but just gotta keep telling myself it's temporary. Time flies by, especially once u get back to routine.
Good morning girl, the boobs feeling so high, hard, ugly to look at and u questioning ur decision to go through with it is all normal. My boobs initially looked like two boxes beneath my skin. But l was reassured this will go down and will continue to go down to a normal look. I can tell u mine stopped looking like boxes by week 3-4 but it isn't till month 6 that we know the final look. I also had lipo done to my flanks and I think that was the worst sensation ever. I still have some numbness to my flanks and at times still feel a slight burning and tingles to my left side. I still have some lumps which I massage for a few min after the shower with some lotion to avoid lipid calcification. I didn't know u got lipo but I was told its important to wear the CG because there is a gap now where the fat was suctioned and ur tissues have to bind together to seal that gap. Other wise I've learned lipo doesn't show significant results cus this gap doesn't seal and leaves room for swelling. Hope this helps :)
U will feel better with time. Be patient. I know the first week sucks but make sure u rest well, take ur antibiotic, pain meds, I even had Ativan to help keep me calm. I just had to make sure to walk a little around the house every 2 hours during the day to prevent clots. My biggest complaint initially was that I felt weak and my problem was insufficient hydration. U will be well soon - just make sure u keep doing what u have to do and if it hurts too much when u breath, call ur surgeon just to make sure this isn't related to a clot. I'll keep checking in on u- God bless!
Check out makemeheal.com. There are plenty of CG on this website but the only problem I see is that by the time u receive it in the mail u might not need it anymore. My PS have me the ok to wear spanx by the second week so that's y I'm thinking it's probably an unnecessary expense. I'm still wearing the CG my PS gave me and I'm almost 6wks PO but that's because I feel better with it. It's like I don't even think about it anymore. I have my spanx ready though and thinking of wearing them after wk 8. I don't know how ur CG looks but can u trim the top so it doesn't cut into your breast? Or can u leave the upper portion slightly open? Don't know- just thinking of ideas. If ur pain meds are making u sick, like they did to me initially, let ur PS know and they can switch u to something else. Initially I was given hydrocodone/acetaminophen for pain which made me very nauseus and zofran for nausea which did nothing for my nausea. I told them I felt like crap and was nauseus all the time and they switched my pain med to trama-dol and my nausea med to phenergan. This helped a great deal. But also remember to hydrate - it's so important cus ur body has a great demand for it right now. Water, nuts and Gatorade helped me a lot. U probably won't need the pain meds past the first week but I was a wimp so I needed it for about a week and a half. It gets better- hang in there! :))
