Update: After 3 days on antibiotics the swelling has gone down considerably and my lip is starting to ooze pus. For the first time in several weeks i recognize myself in the mirror so the treatment does seem to be working. I called the injector spa and told them what happened but the response was basically a dumbfounded "Oh, well I'm glad it seems to be improving." No-one else wants to see me because they didn't do this. I did find one injector doc an hour away who agreed to do a consultation but now that it seems so much better I may just leave it alone. Swelling is way down. Pain is much less. I called several places and explained my situation but if they didn't do it they don't want to help. It really stinks.

Update: Medical doctor calls it cellulitis and prescribed antibiotics. It's day 2 and not better.

I called a local office and they said put ice on it and take ibuprofin for the swelling. Hardness after two weeks with restylane, they said, is not unusual. No fever or discoloration so they ruled out infection. The other side is back to normal so that's probably why this one side looks so bad. My whole mouth looked like this two weeks ago. The injecting doctor is two hours away and I really don't want to go back there anyway. They say give it another week. Ugh.
