I had Juvederm done in my tear troughs 3 years ago and at this point the results appear to be permanent. Prior to August 2009 I used to go in every 6 months for the previous type (I can't remember the name) of filler that lasted 6 months in my tear troughs vs. it was supposed to last only 3 months in the nasolabial folds. I love the results that filling in my hallows provides to help hide my dark circles. With makeup on no one can tell. I do think my Dr. injected this deeply and he massaged the area after injecting. I did bruise pretty badly for about 3-5 days afterwards, but all swelling was gone by a week and the results are soo worth it, I feel like I've looked normal ever since. Juvederm is supposed to help your body build it's own collagen right? Perhaps this is what is going on, but my under eyes are still nicely filled in. I would do it again in a heartbeat if this ever wears away.
Yes, I have the phone number of the nurse from my derms office that I need to call to ask some questions, or just schedule an apt to see what they can do. I can cover with makeup pretty well, but it would be awesome to not have to ;)
