Hi TwoPlusOne! You look amazing! I have gained a little weight too. I have gained muscle but also have eaten too much. I still wear the same size clothes and my measurements have gotten smaller or stayed the same so I'm not freaking out. I am doing more cardio though. I am up to jogging about 3 miles on my treadmill. I use the calorie burning intensity workout to burn 500 calories in 40 mins. then go out and workout on my gym in the morning. I also do the treadmill at night for a 20 min. 200 calorie workout. I try to do this every day but I do miss days because of watching my precious grandson. I am hoping that by this summer I will look better and be more toned. At my age, that is not easy to accomplish. I let myself go for many years and after losing my weight, I have some catch up to do! I hope I can have even a slight resemblance to your great results!!! You look amazing!
I am so happy that you are doing this for yourself! I turn 50 in April and I am now almost 4 months PO. I am so glad I did this! I can't remember how hard it was at first. I am just enjoying the new body. I have more energy, exercise regularly and feel great. Buying clothes is now fun! I can't wait for you to experience this too. At first you are hurting and question your decision to do this, but I am telling you that it is worth it. The hard part doesn't last long and the rewards are great. Good luck to you!
Hi Blonde! The swelling really stinks. My skin still hasn't reconnected to the muscle and seems saggy to me. I can get really picky and unhappy with my results too. The fact is that we both look way better than before, even with swelling. I don't have the same scars on my boobs but from what I have read, they do lighten and get way better in time. I think you look great! Don't give up. Keep eating right and exercising. Listen to your body and try to give it time. That's what I keep telling myself. What we are going through is very common. I no longer see my results as the new me and tend to get critical and impatient. I pray right now that God will bless you and heal you. May you see yourself through his eyes and may you feel his love and peace wrap you in warm hugs. God bless you my friend!
I'm doing really good. Like you, I am ready to be healed. I finally got released to start exercising at 1/2 my normal level. Then, after I exercise, I swell. I hate the swelling too. I have to keep looking at my before pics so I realize how far I have come. Over all I am really happy with my results. I just can't wait to see the final result after 6 months to a year. I don't want to gain weight that I worked so hard to get off because of being depressed or bored. So far I am within 3 pounds so that isn't bad. Just remember that I am right there with you and we just have to be patient. Ya right, easier said than done! LOL!
