I don't have a profile, I did take some 'before' pictures but as yet no one has seen them and I am still far too embarrassed/shy to put them up on here...maybe one day! We are off skiing in March, so really hoping I'm totally recovered by then. Egypt sounds fab, and you'll look mighty fine in your bikini!
Hi, great to hear from you, but sorry to hear that you are having 'other' troubles now. Also great to hear that you are back to 100% exercise. I'm 8 weeks post op today and still not allowed to do anything other than walking, mountain biking and upper body weights - no high impact cardio or any core exercise.
I had a seroma and a pretty awful infection with it (I was very poorly and spent a week back in hospital) but am on the mend again now.
I'm definitely still swollen and have a bulge all the way around me abdomen, so really hoping this will go down soon as I still struggle to do up any waistbands.
Good luck for your hysterectomy, have a fab March holiday first. Is it skiing?!

I am still a little hunched, it seems to vary throughout the day, I think it's dependant on how tired I am. When i am quite hunched it does hurt my back. The physio at my hospital told me to walk 5 minutes 1st day i got home, increasing by 2 mins per day. I was pretty fit before my op, so had a long talk with her about how best to retain a certain level of fitness. I quite look forward to my daily shuffle! Have just taken my binder off for the very first time and I am gobsmacked - I cannot believe the difference!!! I am so happy!!!! Hope you're doing ok today, you will straighten up, don't push it xxxx
I can match you with the swell hell! PO day 5 for me too and I went for my short walk outside and I can't even zip up my ski jacket - that fitted fine before 7lbs of fatty skin was removed from my tummy! It would certainly be much more comfortable without this damn swelling.....
Hi, mine was 20th November and I would like to re-assure you that the pain really isn't too bad....it's more discomfort, I think from the muscle repair - it feels like I've done the most hardcore boot camp weekend ever! It's hard to move around too much, so you have to take it really easy. Yesterday (PO day3 I went for a 5 minute walk up the road with my mum and it was fine). I stopped taking codeine PO day 2 as I am constipated (TMI!) and am just taking over the counter paracetamol.
Please be assured its really not as bad as I thought it was going to be! Try and prepare yourself emotionally, though, as I've found that a little tough at times. Quite a few 'why have I done this to myself' moments, even though I am already thrilled with my new flat silhouette. Sarah xxxxx
