Yes, the later fills are more painful. My solution was to allow more time in between fillings. I moved from 1 week between to 2 weeks. I had started to feel like I was going for weekly torture sessions, however, with the extra time, the pain was much less and more manageable. There will be a last fill and you will look back with a smile when it is all over.... ((( Huggs)))
The expander is expanding the muscle it is behind to create a place for the saline insert. It is quite possible after being upright all day, with no relief that it was the weight of the expander itself pressing down at the base. Is there a bench you can retire to for a bit during lunch and lay flat to alleviate some of the downward weight on that muscle. Also though, as your body adjusts to the expander the pain will lessen. Especially if you are finished with fillings, if not, then take care the day of and next day to see if you can lay flat for a bit to help. NSAIDS such as ibuprofen and other NSAIDS will also help with pain.
