  • Posted to After Getting my Hopes Up, Spending over $2200, 8 Months Later...NO RESULTS!!!! on 24 Oct 2009

I am now prone to break outs which the nurse assured me was from using the Aquafor I was told to use. I have suffered from cystic acne which have left scars. I also get whiteheads that have to be taken care of professionally...yet another expense. I have brown blotchiness on my nose since the procedure which has not gone away after 6 months now. I also still have the hyper-pigmentation along my jaw line & cheeks which was just one reason I had the procedure. My fine lines, which I was assured, would be virtually unnoticable are still there as well. I was not seeking perfection, but have seen no positive results. For a few weeks after the procedure I did look refreshed but that is because the top layer of my face was taken off! Overall, the expense, time off from work as well as the expenses incurred afterward, I cannot recommend this procedure.

NOT A SINGLE DIFFERENCE IN MY SKIN AFTER 5 MONTHS!!! I have even asked my doctor for a refund, that is how disappointed I am with the results, ~ or lack of any results. He has of course refused. I feel completely taken in and the $2200 I spent was my savings. Now I have no money and skin that is worse than it was before the procedure!!

I agree!! This is a terrible procedure both in pain and effectiveness!!!! I had it done 5 months ago and there is NO DIFFERENCE in my skin and would go so far as to agree with the original post in that my skin is worse!!! I am now plagued with outbreaks and some of the white heads will not go away!!! As a result I have more scars from the new outbreaks!!!

At first I was very happy with my results. Now, 5 months after treatment, I consider it money down the toilet. Early results are positive because when you think about it the surface of your face has been been removed revealing fresh skin. Once that heels, whatever problems you may have had will reappear. For instance, I have hyper-pigmentation which after initial treatment seemed to fade. I have since taken care of my skin and never leave the house without sunblock. All of the hyper-pigmentation is still highly apparent. Even the fine lines that seemed to diminish are still there. This procedure DOES NOT WORK!!!!

Sorry to read about your reaction to Rx/wash...ouch. But I am glad to know that you are seeing such an improvement in your skin!! I see more and more improvement everyday...for example I had a large crease next to my mouth because I smile very hard & to one side...it is nearly gone!!! And one of my chicken pox scars is much less defined now! Isn't technology wonderful?!! Now if my doctor could only make me a few inches taller.. = )
