Dr. Blinski, I was very disoriented for quite awhile afterwards, so that certainly may be what happened; however, I recall landing on my back and there were no marks or abrasions on my nose. But perhaps I landed on the side of my back and then rolled and hit my face? lol. I'm laughing but they may have been what happened. I only wish now that the ER physician would have caught this. He didn't do a very good job and I suspect that both my and my daughter may have long term injuries that weren't documented. Thank you for taking the time to answer.

Thanks doctors for the kind answers. My nose is pretty close to back to normal now. What I mainly wanted to obtain was some confirmation that such an injury could indeed occur... and I know that it did, because it happened to me. I will consult with a physician about trying a powerful steroidal anti-inflammatory, such as a Medrol Dosepak, before resorting to surgery. Thanks again!
