I had my FTT the same day as you! You're looking great...I can tell you're being a good girl and wearing your compression garment (tell-tale compression marks on tummy). I see so many people online complaining about their results, and you can tell by their pictures that they are not being compliant with the compression garment. I don't know how you feel, but I feel like I just paid over 10K for an elective procedure...I'm doing whatever my doctor tells me to do right down to the letter. I want the best outcome possible! I hope you'll keep posting updated pics. I just posted mine from weeks one and two. Good luck with your continued recovery; you look great!
I've noticed I bruise less with each top off...anyone else notice this? I just had my lips, nasal folds, and tear troughs done again last Friday and not a single bruise to speak of! I wonder if my face has gotten used to it, or if my injector has "learned" my face and knows where to stick me so I don't bruise?
Oh wow...I took a week off work in anticipation of the bruising. I was warned ahead of time that there was a chance of bruising, and knowing how easily I bruise, I expected to be black and blue from the nose down. I guess I was either very lucky or had an exceptional injector as I only ended up with one tic-tac sized bruise under the bottom left corner of my lip.
I hope you're doing better now!
Apparently there are...the more training the doctor has with the injectible, the higher their "certification" in that injectible is. I'm sure that the certifications come from trainings through the manufacturers of the injectibles, but I'd rather know that the person injecting this stuff in my face has taken significant time and effort to learn how to do it right. Otherwise, anyone with an "MD" or a "DO" after their name is allowed to inject as far as the law is concerned. My doctor has silver and platinum level certifications in these injectibles (see above), but she's not a plastic surgeon. On the other hand, I wouldn't let anyone BUT a board certified plastic surgeon touch me with a scalpel!!!
When you talk to your plastic surgeon, he can tell you whether Botox alone will smooth out your forehead, or whether you may need some sort of filler up there as well.
Just be sure to go to a highly credentialed injector and you can be sure you'll be very happy! I took a friend to my doctor yesterday to get Restylane in her marionette lines. As we were leaving, she paused to look in the mirror just one more time and said, "OMG, why doesn't everyone get this stuff?!"
