It turns out I had some fluid collecting, so my doc drew that out with a syringe (yuck) Thank God I am numb. The neck line looked immediately better. I had to go back 2 days later, and they withdrew more. I am wearing the neck support as much as I can.
How are you doing? Have you checked in with your doc and told them about your concerns?
Hang in there, I think it's probably too soon to tell for you. I am not sure if the steroid helped or not. The lumpiness could have been worse if I didn't have it.... I guess? Let's keep in touch, I haven't told very many people that I had this done, I have only had a few people that complimented me, saying I look young. As I said, I know I look younger and less tired over all. My husband is the only person who knows that I had the 2nd procedure. I think he is beginning to think I am self obsessed. I don't know about you, but I could use someone to bounce my neuroses off. I hope I can be a support for you.....
Well, I wish I could say yes. But it didn't and just last Monday, my doctor did a revision through a small incision under my neck. I am hopeful that this will get rid of the scar tissue. 2 days post op I could see an immediate improvement. But now, 1 week later, I am more swollen than I was 2 days post op. I have been told this is normal. I wouldn't get discouraged yet..... I have been told it can take up to 6 mo to have all the swelling go away. Overall I look better, and younger. The skin is not wrinkled or saggy, so that is an improvement. I don't have the profile I hoped for, but I still look better. Maybe this swelling will go away, and I will be totally happy. I am sure you will see improvement. BTW, my doctor did not charge me for the revision. I hope things improve for you. What is your concern about your neck?
Thank you Dr Howard, I actually have incisions in front of and in back of my ears, extending in to my scalp. ( I didn't have enough room in my post to include that) . I don't have an incision under my chin, I had a mid face lift with "neck sculpting" and a lower blepharoplasty. I don't know if this would change your response.
Thank you!
