Hi - would you mind me asking when you were able to drive again after your PRK? I am having mine done next week and have heard that people get cleared to drive a week after surgery, but seems like your vision didn't become more clear until your 3rd week (i'm not familiar with whether 20/40 is good or bad?).
I agree with you though - I think you do get what you pay for... I am paying $4,500 which is cheaper than the regular price of the clinic, and it includes the cost of all drops for as long as I will need them, and the doctors at the clinic were very forthcoming with what to expect...
Did you find the recovery process to be just as long? I am having mine done next Thursday morning and hope to return to work on the Tuesday...hopefully 4.5 days will be enough time to recover enough to work. A bit worried about having to stare at a computer for the whole day.
Actually at my initial consult, the orthodontist recommended Invisalign over traditional braces and actually said the cost would be lower and treatment faster (however, I wonder if he would retract that statement now haha)
I'm still on the fence about whether I would change my decision of Invisalign over braces, in hindsight. Despite how annoying and long this process has been I might still be too concerned about the look of braces...
I had 4 teeth extracted (2 top, 2 bottom). I wear elastics and it's been 20 months now and the gaps have not completely closed. I had no idea that it would take this long! I would say the gaps are 90% closed - the small gap is still noticeable, especially on the one side. At the beginning, when the gap was full sized, I filled the empty holes in my tray with dental wax which is tooth coloured, and it helped.
