    My plastic surgeon in Massachusetts has given me the Kenalog injections. I have had 5' spaced 3 weeks apart. the lumps are smaller but still hard and the mucousy saliva is still a major issue. I was on Doxycycline for 8 mos with no noticeable improvement and lots of bad side effects. If you do go on antibiotics, be sure to take probiotics and stay out of the sun.

    I have read that injections of Kenalog 10 with FU5 (off label use) has been used successful but my plastic surgeon is very conservative (which is why I choose him) and does not want to go there. I just don't know what to do.

    I continue to have lumps and excessive saliva after 10 mos on doxycycline, 5 Kenalog 10 injections and attempts at excising the lumps. And now I have to have another major dental procedure (tooth extraction and dental implant). I am terrified. I absolutely agree that the connection between Scultra and dental work must be explored. Neither my plastic surgeon nor my dentist will admit their work is responsible for my problems. Please let me know if you find any solution and I will certainly let you know if I find any help.

    You comment that this treatment works. Did you have hyperbaric oxygen therapy and if so, what specifically were your symptoms - inflammation? Granulomas? Excessive mucus?
