So sorry to hear about your experience, I totally understand your frustration and it effecting your life. It's your face! It's not like you can hide it. It has been 6 months for me since I had mine done, I still have a small lump under my right eye. Have decided to wait a year and let it dissolve on it's own. Funny thing is nobody sees it but me and its only in certain lighting. I'm thankful for that. I am going to have it done again later. I think if I would have just left it alone in the first place and not have gotten the hyalurondise injection it would have been fine. Bit some of the juvederm was not dissolved so left a small lump of it . Just let it run it's course . The good thing is from what reading I have done it doesn't last long in the lip area. Approximately 4 to 6 months. Hang in there you will get through this:)
Thank you for sharing your story, I have been having Juvederm injections for about a year an a half. The first time in my folds around my mouth and a small amount in the corners of my under eye areas. I was so happy with the results. I have had them filled 3 times and still happy with it. Then 3 months ago I had more filler in my folds ( still pleased with this) and she injected some under the eyes and a very small amount in the cheek area, then followed by an IPL treatment. I knew the minute I left something was not right under my right eye. Had a small amount of Vitrase injected. Dont know if it helped but didn't hurt anything either. Under my right eye there is a bubble that looks like it has water under it. I have asked everyone if they notice anything and have even pointed it out to them and they still don't see it. But I do see it!!! I feel the same way you have when looking in the mirror. Feel depressed and very self concious, I am 48 years old. It looks worse some days than others. Maybe I look at it too much. I really don't know what to do. Any suggestions? Should I wait and just let it dissolve on its own? My injector said there is no scientic way that it was caused by the IPL so it has to be the juvederm. Would welcome your opion:)
Thank you, I did call the office and she is baffled that I have a small amount of swelling still. Never seen this happen in the all the years she has done this. Will it eventually go away over time?
