I'm already out the $4200 no matter what I do. NO refunds. The braces are free, so why wouldn't I try it to see if it corrected my bite? The dentist has since admitted invisalign is not for people with bite/jaw problems. I've already chipped 3 teeth because of the poor alignment. I guess in comparison to someone with snaggle teeth, my teeth do look good. Doesn't mean they feel good or allow me to speak or chew properly.
And FYI, the picture wasn't even current (after the invisalign, what they looked like pre-braces) and I didn't hit "submit", it just loaded one randomly when I hit "browse" and did not show that a picture had loaded. Interesting comment though for someone who never even saw the incorrect picture to begin with, but thanks anyway. Again, this isn't a debate, it's a forum to exchange info. about our experiences.
Thank you "RealSelf" for deleting that one comment. I was under the impression that this forum is to share what happened to us, not to debate it. It either worked for you or didn't, and you give your reasons why or why it didn't so others can then make their decisions upon others experiences in similar situations as you are. People saying things like "yeah whatever" to someone's experience is childish at best.
I have always been blessed with white, straight teeth, but what you couldn't/can't "see" is severe pain and discomfort from TMJ and serious bite issues where teeth hit and prevented me from speaking properly...and the Invisalign made those issues worse than before I got it. It has been a horrible experience and I do NOT recommend Invisalign to people with bite/TMJ issues. Apparently some people don't use common sense and comment on things they don't understand, and that's sad and inappropriate for this kind of forum.
