HI Lianne,
I just had my postop visit last Thursday and incisions on day 10 were perfect to the dr's surprise but I did my best to keep them very dry. I look like you pretty much (accept for the nipples where mine are both pointing downwards). My left one is fine, i have some sporadic pains here and there on the right one (more like zingers, nerve pain). My pinkie and my ring finger get numb from time to tome (aparently its normal). I am just waiting now for them to drop and it will tak several months for it to take place. It took my friends friend a full year for them to drop. Just hang in there and wait, I know its frustrating but i dont think there is much you can do. Let me know what ur dr said. Mine was very happy with the first visit and wants to see me in one month. Hang in there and all the best.
Hello Lianne,
I had my surgery two days ago on the 9th at 8am. Everything went well and I got Natrelle, Style 20 in 350CC high profile. I got up pretty good from the anesthesia without any major discomfort. Did not feel dizzy nor nauseous, but the anesthesiologist did give me something to prevent it. I felt pretty good, the nurse helped me dress I felt a bit of a pressure but nothing major and was discharged 45min after the surgery. To my amazement I felt pretty good in the car as I had a 30 min ride to go home. As soon as I got home I had some warm soup and started taking my pain meds as I felt them coming. I took the pain meds and the muscle relaxer religiously on time and lots of water. I also used the Arnica gel cream to help with swelling as I was pretty swollen in the evening. I slept on the reclining rocking chair but did not sleep much (to make the matter even more interesting I got my period as well that same day). Yesterday, the 10th the second day was probably the worst as I was very tired from not sleeping and in some pain but still very manageable and had to use the ice pack and lots of Arnica. Last night I took my pain meds and my hubby fixed the bed for me with 5 pillows and somehow I was comfortable and slept pretty well and got up much refreshed. Of course I am still in pain, I can barely move but its manageable, I feel very constricted and very tight. I can feel mu pect muscles twitching from time to time and I am still swollen. My leftie is sitting higher as my dr told me that my left muscle was tighter than my right and it will take some time for it to drop. I still have not taken my sports bra off, I will be taking a shower tonight and we’ll see huh. My overall experience so far has been amazingly great considering that I was terrified of the pain and the discomfort that comes after. I did experience engorging and thrush in the past that was much worst and probably that is the reason why this was not that bad after all. Now I am worried about my leftie sitting high and how long will it take to drop. My post op visit is next week.
Hello Lianne, congrats on your big milestone (the week). They all say it gets better and better after that. I am curious to hear as how was your postop visit with your dr. My surgery is tomorrow, fear is gone for now and I am just anxious to get it over with. I got my meds, vicodyn, skelaxin (muscle relaxer) and an antibiotic. What pain meds did you take and how much do the pain meds really help?
Thanks Lean, yes I will be doing silicone made by Allergen as sugested by my dr. My main thing is to look natural so let's see. All my friends that went throught this are all happy and say this is the best thing I ever did for myself and I hope to be one of them in the near future. Thanks for ur support and input.
I am so glad that came across someone that is going through the whole process now. My surgery is scheduled for October 9th at 8am. This is something I wanted for the past 20 years and finally managed to proceed with it. Amazingly enough, I look just like you in your preop picture with a smaller leftie. I simply never developed there and after three kids i was the same. As much as I am excited, I am DYING of fear and especially the pain. I am going through my blues at this time, why did I get myself into this??? Happily married, attractive, successful at work, a mother to three beautiful kids 10,8,5. Simply I cant wait for this to be over, but the fear of those worst three painful days scare the hell out of me. My dr suggested the proper size for me would be betw 325 and 350CC and he will determine during the surgery as which one would look better on me as I stressed it enough that i don’t want to be huge but I am a big frame 5'9" 158lbs.
