Hi There!
Great news that everything worked out well for you! I am 4 weeks post op today.. when i had my initial consult with my doctor a little over a year ago i was 5'7 and about 200 lbs so not much different than you! But since then and before the surgery I lost 20 lbs... BEST DECISION I EVER MADE! I felt so good about my self in general i was becoming comfortable with my body even with the big boobs. After the reduction surgery i initially thought i looked fat (probably because it was the first time i could see my stomach when i looked down because the boobs werent in the way!!) but soon after I really liked the way I looked and it certianly made recovery easier. Having exercised until the day before pre-op my body was flexible and in good condition. I felt good inside and out and was 100% ready.. so I do recommend trying to lose as much weight as possible (in a healthy way) prior to surgery. You can do a lot with just counting calories. If you have a smart phone there are a lot of great apps that can help you! This is how i lost a lot of my weight because i was so swamped with school! I use LoseIt! but there are lots out there!
Good luck with your surgery! Best decision you will make!
