That's a good question. While the assistance of a medical professional in those critical first days after surgery IS of great benefit to ensuring the health and safety of the patient and success of the procedure, I would think this should be given as an option. I asked my PS to recommend a private RN to make 2 house calls during the first week after having Lipo to many areas. This was money well spent. I had more confidence in my home care efforts after seeing how she handled things. I've hired her again to help during the first week after TT. Just knowing a medical professional will be there to handle things after such a major surgery puts me at ease going into it. 6 days sounds excessive, but I haven't had TT yet so I may change my tune on that. Scheduled for Tummy tuck on January 29. Reading up on reviews and Q&A to get prepared. Not so nervous because I've already had great results on recent BR and lipo. Only thing is my PS won't do lipo on upper belly during TT and I think it needsit and I will regret not having it done. His reason is avoiding issues of blood supply to incision, and says most patients are satisfied with results of TT alone. I hope he is right. I don't mean to be looking a gift horse in the mouth, any improvement is better than the "Foopa". Only 12 more days :)
