Oh, yes, I love my belly button. My surgeon did such great job with the stitches...they are in the belly button and cannot even be seen. After a few weeks, I was instructed to put a small glass marble in my belly button to help it heal in a rounded shape rather than a slit.

Hi fashion8, I did drive, although very short drives....I had no choice because it was during hurricane sandy and we had no power and I had to drive to our community center to charge our mobile devices. I drove about 3 days after surgery. The reasons you are cautioned are the narcotics you are taking and the stitches. Whatever you decide, please be very careful. Perhaps do not take any meds until after you drive your child to school. If you feel that you can sincerely NOT operate a vehicle, DON'T. You have a precious child. Be careful.
