8 Days Post-op and Feeling Lost...- Destin, FL

Ladies, Thanks for all the advice. I did call and speak to the nurse, she said I wasn't given a compression garment for my hips/thighs as they don't usually give them out for my type of lipo (I didn't have my inner thighs done) because they are very expensive. I considered buying one for myself and asked how much but she couldn't tell me. Anon3196, I can't say for sure that I am receiving poor care... But there is another review of the same PS on this site that I read prior to my surgery and I am sure that I am not receiving the same level of care or attention as that person:(

Hi D, I have only been back to my PS once. The only time I talk to the nurse is when I call to give her my outputs. The drains are uncomfortable but I'll be fine if they stay in through the weekend. I have nothing directly covering my incision either so I'll be glad to be able to wear spanx under the binder once the drains are out.

Hello all, I had a full tummy tuck with lipo on september 25th. I am 9 days post op and still have my drains in. They are putting out 25cc or less per 24 hour period. I talked to the nurse at my PS office and she said they may come out tomorrow. I really hope so because my parents came to visit and help out with the kids, but this will be their last weekend in town and I would like to feel more normal. Does it seems too soon to get the drains out? Have any of you gotten your drains out in 10 days or less?

I am also 9 days post op and have a lot of swelling of my hips. My tummy is soooo much better than before and I can see the contour of my waistline. However, just below the abdominal binder my hips shoot out so far i look like I had upper but implants. I'm pretty sure that it is all due to swelling because my PS did lipo there and the area is very hard. I guess my binder is too tight for the swelling to exist under it so there is extra accumulation just below it. I also still have my drains in.
